Mass Save Insulation Incentive
Please note: natural gas heating customers (of National Grid) should apply for the Mass Save insulation incentive, which is separate from Belmont Light programs. National Grid gas heating customers are not eligible for the Belmont Light weatherization incentives.
Belmont Light Weatherization Incentive Program
Residents and landlords who use oil and/or electric heating and install insulation and/or sealing are eligible for the weatherization incentive. Improvements can include, but not limited to:
- Attic insulation
- Wall insulation
- Air sealing
- Duct sealing

Guidelines
- A Free Home Energy Assessment (HEA) from Belmont Light/Energy New England (HEA) must be performed within the previous three (3) years
- Self-installation of material DO NOT qualify for the rebate
- Work must be performed by a licensed contractor
- Applications must be submitted within six (6) months of installation of materials
Incentive Amounts
- Incentives are for 75% of the total cost
- Incentives are broken up in to two categories:
- Air Sealing
- Insulation
- Eligible customers can receive up to:
- $500 of air sealing costs
- $1,000 of insulation costs
Document Requirements
- Proof of HEA report
- Invoice/receipt of materials purchased
- Invoice of work performed
Apply Now
Apply online through the Online Rebate Portal with your invoice and proof of the home energy assessment. Please allow 6-8 weeks for review and processing for the rebate to appear on your electric bill.
